If you’re fed up with your lipstick smudging all over your mouth and leaving marks on everything it touches… worry no more! I’ve found one which solves all these problems!
I know that red lipstick left on a glass of wine or on a love letter looks sexy and seductive, however on a daily basis we’d rather wear a lipstick that stays on and doesn’t require to be fixed 50 times a day, right?

Smudge-Proof Liquid Matte Lipstick
So if you haven’t found one yet, here’s my latest discovery – tested many times in different “environment”, loved and highly recommended – Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour by Rimmel.
I’ve chosen two different shades:
- 600 – Coral Sass
- 500 – Fire Starter
Here’s a photo of Coral Sass, which is a very delicate pinkish-peach shade, perfect as a finish of your daily makeup.
And here’s a Fire Starter which is a vivid red colour – definitely my favourite! It’s perfect for a night out but I’ve been also wearing it during the day and felt really fab and luxurious.

This is a matte lipstick I’ve been waiting for!
What I love most about it:
- it doesn’t dry your lips
- application is very easy and the liquid form dries on your lips fairly quickly
- has a very nice delicate sweet smell
- doesn’t have any taste
- most of all: it can last even ALL DAY and it doesn’t leave any stains
- it’s quite hard to wash it off (lol) but I guess you could do it easier using a makeup remover (I haven’t tried that yet).
Kiss-proof, Touch-proof & Water-proof
Yes! I actually tested it in so many situations that I can promise it’s true. I’ve been wearing it during a day and a few night outs, eating, drinking, talking, kissing my daughter’s cheek (and my husband’s mouth), and the lipstick was still there, perfect and almost untouched! And it did not stay on my daughter’s cheek if you’re wondering. As for kissing my husband, well… I’d say it depends on the intensity of the kiss, but still, this lipstick isn’t messy and it’s damn hard to get rid of!
Here’s a short video showing that this lipstick doesn’t leave stains on my coffee mug:
How to apply liquid lipstick?
Application of liquid lipstick may be a real challenge for us, when in fact it’s very easy! Just make sure to use a lip liner of the same colour right before lipstick application. Once you draw around the edges of your lips apply small amount of lipstick on your lower lips and then carefully on the upper lips. Voila!
Is this how you’ve been doing this? Or is there any other method you’ve been using which also works? Please feel free to share it with me in a comment at the bottom of this post.
Have you tried this lipstick yet? Do you like it?
What’s your favourite lipstick colour?
If you haven’t tried this one yet, or if you’ve been avoiding liquid lipsticks (like I did) afraid that it might leave your lips sticky and messy, I think you should definitely give this one a try! You’ll be positively surprised!
