In whatever you do which makes you happy – do not give up! This is your calling, this is what defines you, what brings meaning to your life. And if ever you have moments of hesitation, stop for just a short moment and think why you’ve started in the first place. Look how far you’ve come till now! Do not let all your previous efforts go to waste.
I have moments of breakdown quite often. It’s especially hard for me in my fitness life, because as an ectomorphic somatotype, I find it extremely hard to gain mass and I don’t see results as fast as a mesomorphic one. Most people think I’m crazy going to the gym because they associate sport with weight loss. Even my family thinks I must be out of my mind cause they are worried I might become even slimmer than I am! I keep hearing that I’m too skinny and when I say I’m on a healthy diet, some of them think I’m nuts.
Besides, my lifestyle doesn’t help either. Full-time job, family, own business, photography and fitness….. Isn’t that too many things for just one person? And there’s only 24h within one day! Too much to do, too little time, a rather stressful life in overall… Very often I have to make decisions which one is more important for today.
Even though I had stopped a few times before, I keep coming back because looking back at myself from 3 years ago and comparing it to “now”, I see I’ve made a huge progress! My body is in a better shape than back when I was 18. Now!? when I’m coming closer and closer to the magic 40… So, I can’t quit! I want to see how far I can go 🙂 I want to reach my goals. Besides at this stage I love it so much that I can’t imagine my life without sport!
The moment you’re ready to quit is usually the moment right before the miracle happens. Don’t give up!
