Saturday Leg & ABS Workout

Saturday.

My inspiration is gone. My energy is gone. My will to move even slightly is gone too. I feel I could spend the whole day sitting on the sofa.I spent half day chilling with my daughter and doing THIS! ๐Ÿ˜€ (this is dangerously addictive, I’m warning you!)

Actually since yesterday I don’t know what I really want to do! That feeling is horrible and I hate myself for this… I want to change it terribly…

What worked for me yesterday? Well, I put my headphones on and played some good music, the energy level went up rapidly! Unfortunately my inspiration was not back yet… I think I need to restart my brain somehow.

hmmm… actually I felt so overwhelmed yesterday that I uninstalled my Facebook app in my phone. This has never happened before. I could manage. But I think I’ve reached the point where I needed to take some serious steps. So far it’s working great ๐Ÿ™‚

So as I said, I had no energy today, just a lazy day… but I really felt I should DO something! So I lift my butt and went up to do my workout! I thought perhaps if I start jumping and sweating I will get my energy back. And guess what? It worked ๐Ÿ˜€ I could find enough strength to do legs, butt and ABS, it was over an hour of really tough workout! Plus a few new stretching exercises for splits.

I didn’t feel like lifting today so I did one of Mel B’s workouts instead. I find her workouts quite demanding because you need to keep doing one exercise for about a minute! And to be honest, my butt IS ON feckin FIRE (!) during some of those exercises! I think I’m some kind of masochist, cause I love it! :p I am still pretty sore after the last workout but when I started moving and stretching those muscles, it wasn’t too bad. The worst is when you sit and do nothing. So don’t ever be afraid to do a workout even though you’re sore. Just remember to take it easy, and best do a different part instead, in the beginning.

Because that lower body and ABS workout seemed not enough to me, I did another one right after Mel B: Sexy bum exercises ๐Ÿ˜‰

I finished that with a 12 minute tabata for ABS, and it was the toughest tabata I’ve ever tried so far! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I literally had to modify one of the exercises because I was unable to do it! You should try it for yourself! I will definitely do it more often. It’s deadly and I want it more!

I’ve finished my workout with a good 15 minutes of stretching exercises. My plan is to be able to do a split some day. I used to be able to do it easily back in my primary school times when I was practicing gymnastics. It was a long time ago, but I still remember that feeling. And this is one of my goals – to be flexible enough to be able to do a split. I’ve been doing cool down and stretching exercises particularly for this purpose for the last few months and I see there is a little progress, so it is possible! Even at my age! ๐Ÿ˜€ That’s why I keep doing this. Today I wanted to add some variety to my usual stretching exercises and I was looking for some more examples. I’ve found some good explanations (in Polish yet again… sorry :p ) You can find them here:

I can’t do a full split yet, but I’m closer than I was a few months ago ๐Ÿ˜€ So I keep going!!! I know I’ll do it eventually!

So that was my workout for today. There’s a plan to go to the gym tomorrow. I really hope it will work cause I miss that place terribly. How was your Saturday? Active? Lazy? ๐Ÿ˜‰
